THE NEXT GENERATION IN STEM

The USA Science & Engineering Festival (USASEF) is the nation’s largest celebration of STEM, welcoming more than 370,000 attendees during the 4-day event. As part of PwC’s initiative to encourage STEM education, the firm sponsored a 50’ x 50’ booth featuring robotics, problem-solving, and coding challenges for the students, parents, and educators in attendance.

The engaging activities and colorful design proved popular with attendees as thousands of visitors came through each day. The PwC activation also included an integrated coffee bar and lounge spaces to help weary festival-goers catch their second wind.

IMPACT

Access Your Potential™: PwC’s pioneering program to invest $320 million to provide opportunities for underserved students to gain valuable tech and financial skills to take them into the future.

By the Numbers: More than 70 PwC staff volunteered for the 4-day event, ushering more than 10,000 students through the full experience of the activation – coding, robotics, and math – making the booth one of the most well-received at the Festival.

Community Partners: Hands-on activities were led by experts from partnering non-profit organizations Code.org, FIRST, and MIND Research Institute.
