THE NEXT GENERATION IN STEM

The USA Science & Engineering Festival (USASEF) is the nation’s largest celebration of STEM, welcoming more than 370,000 attendees during the 4-day event. As part of PwC’s initiative to encourage STEM education, the firm sponsored a 50’ x 50’ booth featuring robotics, problem-solving, and coding challenges for the students, parents, and educators in attendance.

The engaging activities and colorful design – inspired to feel like a playground – proved popular with attendees as thousands of visitors came through each day. The PwC activation also included an integrated coffee bar and lounge spaces to help weary festival-goers catch their second wind.

IMPACT

Access Your Potential™: PwC’s pioneering program to invest $320 million to provide opportunities for underserved students to gain valuable tech and financial skills to take them into the future.

By the Numbers: More than 70 PwC staff volunteered for the 4-day event, ushering more than 10,000 students through the full experience of the activation – coding, robotics, and math – making the booth one of the most well-received at the Festival.

Community Partners: Hands-on activities were led by experts from partnering non-profit organizations Code.org, FIRST, and MIND Research Institute.
